Chris Hayes soon to go live on MSNBC as Baltimore Police sweep away the intersection of Pennsylvania and North Avenues during protests over the death of Freddie Gray, who died in police custody.
Local Baltimore activist Kwame Rose interrupts a Fox News live segment at the height of unrest over what was seen as Freddie Gray’s wrongful death. Rose was unhappy with the media portrayal of Baltimore residents, saying the media wasn’t really interested in what was causing this unrest.
Baltimore residents with signs are lit by the spotlight of a helicopter overhead. Throughout the night helicopters from police and news stations circled the intersection of Pennsylvania and North Avenues.
Journalists wear gas masks and helmets in possible anticipation of tear gas and rubber bullets, which were used by the police as a way to disperse crowds.
